This policy, effective February 16th, 2020, will let you know:

• What information is collected from you;

• How your information is used;

• With whom your information may be shared

• How you can access, update, or delete your information.

 

At Altered: Starless Night, we value your contributions, custom, and your feedback. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use and disclose "personal information" (if any) and other “personal information” that we have gathered about you when you use any of our games, or access our websites (collectively “Products”).

We are bound by General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for data belonging to individuals from within the European Union (EU). We will strictly comply with all relevant legislative requirements, and, in the event of any inconsistency, the legislative requirements will override the provisions of this document.

 

What is Personal Information and Sensitive Information?
‘Personal Information’ is information or an opinion that identifies you as an individual. This might include a person's name and address, their bank account details, photos, videos or information about what an individual likes, including their opinions and where they live or work.

Altered: Starless Night does not collect any of your Personal Information when you use our Products.

 

“Sensitive information” includes information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional body, criminal records or health information.

Altered: Starless Night will not attempt to obtain nor record any Sensitive Information.

 

Email and other Correspondence
Altered: Starless Night may collect and store your email address in circumstances where you specifically consent in advance to allow our Products to collect your email. When you have nominated to allow us to collect your email, it is only kept to keep you informed of new Altered: Starless Night Products, and changes to our existing Products.

Similarly, if you contact us directly for any reason by email or by regular post, we may also keep a copy of that correspondence. This information is for internal records only, and would only ever be disclosed if required by court order, or by law.

 

Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not sell, trade, rent or disclose any of Personal Information including your email address that you provide to us for any reason, without your prior written consent. In all other circumstances, your Personal Information will only be disclosed where required or allowable by law.

 

Security of your Personal Information
Any personal information you provide to us, including your email address is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. We don’t guarantee website links and the policies of third parties websites, and you access those sites at your own risk.

 

Access to your Personal Information
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please make out your request to us in writing by the email address listed below. Altered: Starless Night will not charge any fee for your access request. Please be aware that in order to protect the Personal Information in our database, we will require identification from you before releasing any information. You can opt-out of interest-based advertising on mobile applications by checking the privacy settings of your Android or iOS device and selecting "limit ad tracking" (Apple iOS) or "opt-out of interest based ads" (Android). You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications, such as marketing emails from us by following the instructions in such communications. 

 

Collection of other “Non-Personal” Information
In some of our Products Altered: Starless Night collects general information about the way those Products are used and interacted with. This is non-identifiable data, which is never labelled with any individual identifiers, and by means of which no specific individual can be identified. All such information is used internally only, to enhance user experience, and gain a better understanding of the ways our Products are used. This data includes: 1) Data about your account and game progress 2) Your IP address and mobile device identifiers (such as your device ID, advertising ID, MAC address, IMEI) 3) Data about your device, such as device name and operating system, browser type and language.

Children Policy

Our services are not intended for and we do not direct them to anyone under 12. As mentioned above, Altered: Starless Night does not knowingly collect personal information.

 

Links to Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

 

"In-App" Purchases

Altered: Starless Night app is supported by advertising revenue. This app offers a purchase option that allows a user to disable all advertising by paying a fee.

All payments will be processed through Apple iTunes from which you originally downloaded the application. Altered: Starless Night will not have access, or keep, any of your payments Information.

You may access the applicable "in-app" purchase rules and policies directly from the  applicable app store.

Crash Logs

By default, if one of our apps crashes while you are using it, anonymized data about the crash will be collected to help us identify the cause of the crash and hopefully fix it in a future update. These "crash logs" contain information such as the state of the app, operating system, and device at the time of the crash, but not your private data.

Though Altered: Starless Night itself does not use cookies in order to track your movement around the web, our apps may contain APIs from third parties.

Cookies

Facebook conversion pixels

We use the “Custom Audience pixel” of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) on our website. With its help, we can keep track of what users do after they see or click on a Facebook advertisement. This enables us to monitor the effectiveness of Facebook ads for purposes of statistics and market research. Data collected in this way is anonymous to us, which means we cannot see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is saved and processed by Facebook. Facebook can connect this data with your Facebook account and use it for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Policy which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can allow Facebook and its partners to place ads on and outside of Facebook. A cookie can also be saved on your device for these purposes.

 

Do-Not-Track Signals and Similar Mechanisms:

Some web browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals to websites. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.
